Astronomers say © 1998, 7 x 4 x 1/2 inches (closed). Museum board, watercolor paper, acrylics, prismacolors, collage, accordion fold binding. This book was inspired by star charts and maps. The text on the cover was cut from museum board with a jeweler's saw. There is a blog post here about using found text as inspiration. Not for Sale. Scroll down for more views.

On this side is an article from the paper titled "Astronomers say they saw space mirage." Also a legend explaining the symbols on the star chart, and instructions to view the stars.

In case you need instructions, this pair of pages tells you how to view the stars. I spent a part of my childhood in Ohio. All I need here are some fireflies.

The constellations are imaginary.

I made up all the star names. Between the photography and the scanning I had a hard time getting all the pages the right color. They are actually pretty consistent. The image above is too light, all the others are close to the original.
