The candle is a mixed media collage on a photo I took. The hinges are based on some I saw years ago on an old icon.

"Isti mirant stella" comes from the Bayou tapestry. I believe it means "there I see a star." I etched in the black plexiglass with a dremel etcher and rubbed white ink into the lines.
