Spirits Under Glass ©2012, 10.75 x 8.25 x 3.5 inches. Davey board, Arches cover, acrylics, brass with heat patinas, beveled glass, photos printed with archival inks, varnished. Bound with brass screw posts that have decorative brass heads soldered on. Unique book created to hold the photos taken with the handmade Zymo 127 pinhole camera (on the right) in the Zymoglyphic Museum. Just to be clear, because some people ask, I made the camera, took the photos, printed them and made the book. My husband, Jim Stewart's project is the Zymoglyphic Museum. He made the dioramas in the Museum and very kindly allowed me complete access to take the photos. Blog post about the project.

The pages were texutred with layers of acrylic paints, splattered and scratched. While the paint was still damp phone book pages were pressed on them to keep the surface mat.
